Acromegaly is a condition that is caused by overproduction of growth hormone from the pituitary gland. Octotide 0.1mg Injection helps to reduce the increased levels of growth hormone, restores them to normal and therefore prevents complication of acromegaly such as diabetes or heart diseases. It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered.

Breast feeding

Octotide 0.1mg Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving

Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Octotide 0.1mg Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Octotide 0.1mg Injection is recommended.
Liver
CAUTION
Octotide 0.1mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Octotide 0.1mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE OCTOTIDE INJECTION?
If you miss a dose of Octotide 0.1mg Injection, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
