HOW GEMTIDE PREFILLED 600MCG PEN(DEVICE) WORKS

GEMTIDE PREFILLED 600MCG PEN(DEVICE) works by increasing the number and activity of osteoblasts (bone-forming cells) which leads to strengthening of bones and minimizes the risk of fractures thus treating osteoporosis in affected individuals.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

GEMTIDE PREFILLED 600MCG PEN(DEVICE) will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into thigh/abdominal region as a subcutaneous injection. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition

SIDE EFFECTS OF GEMTIDE PREFILLED 600MCG PEN(DEVICE)

COMMON

• Pain in limb, muscle cramps
• Nausea, vomiting, heartburn
• Headache, dizziness, loss of energy, tiredness
• Redness of the skin, pain, swelling, itching, bruising, and/or bleeding around the injection site
• Depression
• Neuralgic pain in the leg
• Feeling faint
• Breathlessness
• Increased sweating
• Low blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, chest pain
• Hernia (opening/weakness in the wall of muscle, tissue/membrane that holds an organ in place)
• Anaemia

UNCOMMON

• Increased heart rate, abnormal heart sound
• Shortness of breath
• Piles
• Accidental leakage of urine
• Increased urine frequency
• Weight gain
• Kidney stones
• Muscle pain, joint pain, severe back pain

RARE

• Reduced kidney function (including renal failure)
• Swelling in the arms and legs.

Stop receiving GEMTIDE PREFILLED 600MCG PEN(DEVICE) and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

• Signs of severe and life threatening allergic reactions (including anaphylactic reaction) such as rash, swelling of the face, lips, tongue/throat causing difficulty in breathing/swallowing, and/or chest pain
